Cops to be deployed at 53 sensitive locations

Ara: Elaborate arrangements have been made by the district administration for Ram Navami celebrations on Friday. District magistrate Birendra Prasad Yadav on Thursday asked different social and religious organizations to celebrate the festival together in a peaceful atmosphere and ordered officials to take action against mischief mongers.
"All 34 police stations in the district are on alert.Sensitive points have been identified and security arrangements stepped up. While magistrates and police personnel will be deployed at 53 locations, seven patrolling parties will keep round the clock vigil," Yadav said, adding arrangements had been made to record the processions as well.
A civil surgeon along with doctors, paramedical staff, medicines and an ambulance will be present at the time of the processions.
"The DM has ordered South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDL) executive engineer to change rusted wires and elevate loose wires on the procession route," said a source.
